christmas lights ben absolutely adores christmas lights. he's loving everything about christmas, really, but he's really enthralled with the lights. there are a few big displays in town that we've driven by a few times, and he is in total awe of them. he loves the more modest decorations, too, and points out every single house with lights when we're out. we actually don't tend to be out and about in the evenings, but with it getting dark so early lately, we have had the chance to see lights several times. he also gets really excited when our tree turns on - it is on a timer and as soon as it lights up, he's sure to run around and tell everyone. adam even thought to buy a string of outdoor lights and put them up on the playhouse. we've never put lights up on the house, but with the kids enjoying them so much we thought this was a nice idea. rather than being on the house where they can't see them from the inside - the playhouse lets them be able to see them from the window. ben loves it!
