happy thanksgiving

we had a really lovely thanksgiving today. we spent the early afternoon at my grandmother's house and shared our meal with her, cathy, my mom, jeff, brianna, and tara. it was a nice time spent visiting, joking, and of course eating. the kids had a great time, and were sound asleep on the ride home.

we spent our evening at home, putting up the tree and some other christmas decorations. the kiddos had been looking forward to this part of the day, and they were both really helpful. ben did much better with the ornaments this year and didn't need much help hanging them. he got a little impatient a couple of times, but overall he did really well. it was a nice way to relax and spend time together after a day out. we have so much to be thankful for - a warm home, a loving family, and time to spend together... what more could we ask for?
