jealous cousin

we all took a little trip down to massachusetts for the afternoon to celebrate noah's birthday today. the cousins all had a good time playing together, which is always fun to watch. noah was also nice enough to show sophie and ben his big birthday gift - a ride-on john deere gator - and even shared nicely and let them each have turns driving it around the yard a bit.

ben has been eying this toy for months now - whenever we go into a walmart, he immediately asks if we can go look at the "dump tractor." craig and renee were lucky enough to find a previously-loved model from a neighbor family - adam and i just can't justify the nearly $400 price tag of the new ones. BUT... we're still looking at options, and ben might get something eventually. we'll see. anyway, he was totally amazed that noah had one of these fantastic things right at his house and he had a ball taking it for a little test spin. all three kids were awfully cute taking turns and enjoying the rides!
