surprise trip to story land! we went with pretty much nothing - just my purse with a bottle of water, some crackers for snacks and the camera. we didn't even bring our stroller, because they have ones there that the kiddos love because of the novelty. we packed a lunch and some extra clothes in the car, and we were good to go. having nothing to carry left us nice and free to go on rides without thinking about leaving our stuff behind and made us so much more mobile - it was great. also because we picked a day early in the season, and there was a chance of showers later in the afternoon, it wasn't busy at all. we only waited in lines a few times - and never more than a minute or two. and the weather ended up being great - we had a few minutes of showers late in the day, but it was during our trips on the log flume, so we were wet anyway! ben had such a fantastic time. he was most excited about trying the roller coaster, even though we told him he might not be tall enough. we had him measured and just met the height requirement - so he went on and then even asked to go again. he loved it, even though he looked kind of terrified at the time, haha. he still keeps talking about it - he's very proud that he went on such a big kid ride. he also really loved driving the antique cars, the tea cups, and the log flume. he was so good and patient, even though we were there for about six hours and didn't start heading home until well past his nap time. i can't wait to take him back again at the end of the season!
