overnight with grandpa and gigi sophie had her ballet recital yesterday, so my dad and catherine volunteered to take ben overnight for us. we knew it would be too much for ben to sit through all of the waiting, and it was nice for us to be able to focus 100% on sophie during her big day. and, of course, ben was super excited for his sleepover and we knew he'd have a great time. it worked out that his cousin rigel (who's about 9 months younger) was going to be there, too, while his parents were attending an afternoon wedding nearby, and ben was awfully excited about that. when i told him rigel was going to be there, he squealed, "me love rigel! me give him big kisses and hugs!" i'm sure that grandpa and gigi had their hands full with the two boys, but ben certainly had fun. here's a cute picture jessica caught this morning while the boys were watching some tv in their pjs (notice ben totally hogging that remote).
