Mr. Independent No matter how many times it happens, I am always amazed at how well Ben can do playing by himself. His sister always tends to want to play with someone else, but at times Ben will disappear for a while and we will find him off in some corner of the playroom happily demolishing the place. Unfortunately, we have found that he only seems truly happy playing by himself when he is dumping out every box containing small toys and combining them in various ways. While this is extremely creative, it is also extremely messy (unfortunate as he rarely cleans up said mess). I used to worry that I would not get enough snuggle time (or "nuffle" time to Ben) with him as he was always moving around. As he gets older, however, he often asks Aimee and I to sit down with him and cuddle. He likes to nuzzle his head into your side like a kitty. In fact, he still loves pretending he is a kitty. In all, I would say we get a good balance of time with him, and independent time so we can get stuff done around the house. Best of all, though, is that Sophie and he play so well together (most of the time). They can be so cute.
