sleepover ben had fun this past weekend with a sleepover at grandpa ben's house. this was only his second time staying overnight anywhere by himself, and the first time we were home with sophie alone (ben's first overnight was when adam and i went away for our anniversary and we split the kiddos between the windham grandparents). it was weird to be home without him. but i know he had a great time. as soon as my dad mentioned the idea, i talked with ben about it and he was super excited. he kept talking about riding in grandpa's big blue truck - because he had seen sophie leave for her sleepover a few weeks ago and was pretty jealous of her! as soon as my dad got here to pick him up, ben just wanted grandpa to hold him - he was anxious to get going. we all went to pick him up on sunday afternoon and shared a nice lunch with grandpa and gigi. we missed him, but i was happy he got to have a special visit all by himself. he must have had a whole lot of fun because he was wiped out on the ride home - we heard him snoring the whole way!
