i dread what his room will look like as a teenager...

this afternoon, ben went down for a late nap and i actually had to wake him up so that we could stay on schedule for dinner. he was so super cute, so i grabbed the camera to take a quick picture first. later when i was looking at it, though, i realized what a total pig sty his crib is.

keep in mind that we never even allowed him a blanket in his crib until he was probably a year old, and even then we limited it to his one special blanket and one stuffed animal. over time, though, he's formed attachments to new animals and blankets and insists that they all go to bed with him. oh, and he needs several specific books in with him, too.

so he's a little messy - but he sure is cute, huh?
