merry christmas!

christmas has come and gone and it was awesome! in the span of four days (we took friday off and just stayed home) we have celebrated christmas with three sets of grandparents and extended family and had such a great time. yes, it made for some long days and several missed naps, but ben did a great job and had so much fun. he loved seeing everyone, and of course getting so many great gifts. he got lots of toys, books, games and clothes - and he's enjoying it all.

santa brought him blocks like he asked for and those have probably gotten the most attention in the past couple of days - but he's really done his best to play with everything!

for ben, the worst part of christmas being over is that the christmas decorations are going to be gone soon. he loves christmas lights and asks if we're going to see them any time we get in the car. he loves pointing them out and telling us when he sees any. he also loves seeing all of the christmas trees in stores. he's going to be pretty bummed when he stops seeing the lights out and about, but he's actually been fine about taking our tree down today. he understood that it was coming down, but we'd have it up again next year. like everyone, i think he was ready to have a little normalcy back in the house!

thanks to everyone who helped make this a special christmas for us and the kiddos!
