sentences won't be far behind... ben has started regularly putting two words together. its so cute to hear him really trying to get his point across verbally. he says things like "hi dada" or "bye mama" and has been doing that for awhile. lately he's even started waving goodbye to cars and trucks on the road and in parking lots and saying "bye car" or "bye truck." yesterday when we got to the store he looked up as we were walking in and said "hi store!" he also is starting to describe ownership - like he will look out the window and say "mama car" or "dada car" and point to the appropriate vehicle. and he's started using more than one word to ask for things, particularly at the table. he will say "milk please" or "more milk," and a few times has even combined all three words to ask for "more milk please." i love seeing his communication grow - its really amazing.
