proud and amazed

so... after delaying the professional pictures we had planned for this summer because of various facial injuries (primarily the bit mark ben so lovingly planted on his sister's cheek), i finally took the kids in yesterday. i was a little nervous because i decided to just go and get it done instead of waiting for adam to come with me, so i had no back-up. but i needn't have given it a second thought - these kids were phenomenally well-behaved and even earned themselves and impromptu stop at chuck e. cheese after we were finished.

i was especially impressed with ben. he listened to the photographer, sat wherever and however she asked him to, looked at the camera and smiled every time, and held his pose even when i know he was tempted to run off or climb all over the props he was eying in corner.

the photographer gushed over and over about how impressed she was - saying that she had never seen such a cooperative, easy not-even-two-year-old do such a great job. i was very, very proud - not to mentioned relieved.

because they both did so well, we got a bunch of really cute shots. i don't want to share many because they may or may not have a future as christmas gifts... but here's just one to get an idea of how cute these kids are...
