fun, busy weekend

we spent saturday at adam's parents house visiting with his parents and his siblings and their families. ben had a great time playing with all of the cousins and just running around outside. craig and renee brought a big inflatable water slide for the kids to play on, and ben got a pretty big kick out of that. he really wanted to be big enough to climb up on his own, but he still enjoyed being placed on the slide and getting to slide down. in another year he'll be climbing all over that thing!

he also loved going for a ride behind grandpa's tractor. he sat on jack's lap and rode with all the bigger kids. when adam first put him in and the tractor started moving, ben let out the best excited giggles. he was all smiles, for sure.

then today we went to the berry family reunion and visited some more. ben got to take a dip in the pool with daddy and sophie - he wanted to get in that pool the minute he saw it. he spent the rest of the afternoon running around in a diaper, stealing snacks off the buffet table, and entertaining everyone by running around the middle of the circle of chairs and dancing. pretty cute. he sure was tired by the end of the weekend, but he did well and we were proud of him.
