first baseball game

we took the kiddos to a seadogs game (the double-a affiliate of the red sox) last night with my dad. jessica, atilla, rigel and sarah were there, too, and although we didn't get to sit together we did get to say hi and visit for a few minutes.

ben did a great job and seemed to have a good time. i carried him in the mei tai on my back on the walk to the stadium, but then since we were sitting on bench seats, i was able to just keep him there. i sat a bit sideways and he could see everyone and keep an eye on what was going on. i'm not sure how much of the actual game he watched, but he enjoyed checking out the crowd. we walked down with sophie to get an ice cream sandwich and she did an awesome job of sharing with ben - he loved that.

the game didn't start until 6:00 and adam had to work at 10:00, so we weren't able to stay for the entire game... but the kiddos were fading fast anyway, so it worked out well to skip out a little early. i let ben down from the mei tai a few minutes before we left so he could have the chance to sit on the bench like a big boy (although he spent much more time climbing than sitting).
