more words

i realized that i wrote about ben saying grandpa on easter, but i had yet to mention some of the other new words he's said. the previous weekend, when we were at my mom's for our st. patrick's dinner, he started saying "'ammy" in reference to both my mom and grandmother - grammy and great grammy. he did it all on his own, with no prompting, and was just going up to either of them and saying it. pretty smart, huh

he's also been saying "uh" for "up" when he wants to be picked up. and he's been saying "more" at mealtimes when he wants more of something, instead of just pushing his plate toward me as a not-so-subtle hint.

he also does his best to repeat words with simple sounds when we ask him - he does ball, duck, car, dog, etc - but he hasn't started using them on his own yet.
