16 months

Today Ben turned 16 months and I can't help but take a moment to look back at how big he seems to have gotten lately. He is still a little peanut size wise, but he seems so much bigger in other ways. He listens when we call to him (more than his 3 year old sister, anyway) and if we tell him not to do something, he stops. He shakes his head if he does not want something, and can follow directions such as when I asked him to get the fork he dropped at dinner time and hand it to mama, which he did without hesitation. He also throws out trash if he finds it on the floor (something we need to be careful of as he sometimes has a different idea of what is trash then we do).

He loves to imitate his sister and they often play together very nicely. The little train noise he makes is so cute, and I am still amazed at how quickly he learned all his body parts. Sometimes it is hard for me to think of him as growing up since he is our little baby, but I am also very proud of his accomplishments and I can't wait to play with him and his sister outside this year now that he is moving around so much better (recent diggers notwithstanding).
