thanks auntie katy and uncle dave!

our friends katy and dave stopped by this afternoon on their way back to connecticut after visiting katy's family for the holiday. they brought with them a beautiful birthday/christmas gift for benjamin - a super cute quilt that katy made for him. sophie has a katy quilt, too, and it is so special - i've been anxiously awaiting ben's and couldn't wait to see it. she does such wonderful work, and what a nice, personal piece for each of the kids to have and keep as they get older, too.

ben was a little shy during the visit, but i spread the quilt on the floor and he really enjoyed playing with it throughout the evening. he even laid down for a minute and pretended to snuggle with it. katy was also thoughtful enough to make sophie a little purse with matching fabric, which sophie thinks is pretty awesome. its really nice to have friends who think of our children and do something so nice for them!
