even more christmas we spent the weekend finishing up our christmas celebrations with family. we had some nice visits and the kiddos were even more spoiled with new gifts and toys. we spent saturday afternoon with adam's family - his brother and sister and their families were all in town for the weekend. the gift opening was a bit chaotic, as you can imagine with six kids (four or which are two or under!), but it was fun. they all helped each other and enjoyed seeing each other's gifts. ben got a track toy and some extra cars to go with it and a ball popper toy which has been a hit with both him and sophie. ben slept for a good part of the visit, but when he woke up he was pretty excited about the full house. sunday we had a visit from grandpa and gigi. our playroom got some great new additions, including a very cute farm truck for ben, and these kids are certainly not going to be bored anytime soon! i think ben's favorite gift of the day, though, was a handmade blanket with soft fleece and flannel with a rubber ducky print. ben loves ducks and he also loves blankets - so this was great for him. he immediately piled it on the floor and tested it out. i went through the playroom again yesterday and cleaned out even more toys that we don't need anymore. they got so many new things for christmas that its time to clear out some room and donate some toys for others to use. i packed up the last of the real baby things that ben hasn't used for awhile now which made more room for the big boy toys he's been getting. it's so much fun to watch him play now - he really is enjoying toys more and becoming more imaginative as he plays.
