some help from his sister sophie has been doing the funniest thing lately - she will talk to us as though she is ben. we do it all the time, so that's obviously where she's learned it - we like to give ben a little voice and adam and i will often talk back and forth while one of us voices what we imagine ben would say if he could. in the last week or so, sophie's started doing it, too. as an example, tonight while we were at dinner benjamin had tofu and beans on his plate - usually he loves tofu, but tonight he was only interested in the beans. i kept encouraging him to eat some of both, and suddenly sophie said in her little squeaky ben-voice, "no, mama. i don't want tofu. i just want beans!"
