finally! ben said mama! he's been saying dada (and understanding what it means) for months now... but i hadn't been able to get him to move on to mama. he certainly knows what mama means (and lots of other words, too), but he just wasn't saying it. last week he finally started saying what he meant to be mama, but it was with more of an "n" sound. he would call to me or reach up for me when he was saying it, so i knew what he meant... but last night he finally started using that "m" sound. he was crawling down the hall toward me before bedtime calling out "mama" all the way. what a sweet freaking sound!
