story land we went to story land yesterday with my dad and catherine. sophie had an incredible day, but ben enjoyed himself, too, even though there wasn't as much he could do. he liked checking out the little fairy tale displays and got to hang out with each of us for a bit as we all took turns holding him and showing him around. he rode in the stroller for quite a bit, too, and was patient most of the time. i sat with him and nursed him twice while we were there, while the others were on rides, and he ate a good lunch when we stopped for our picnic. he took an after-lunch nap in his stroller and even went on two rides! we took him on the carousel in the morning - it was one of the few rides he was allowed on - and he loved it! he sat on his own horse, next to his sister's, and held right on. he even tried to rock himself back and forth like the big kids! toward the end of the day, all six of us went on ferris wheel that had hot air balloon-shaped compartments, and he seemed to enjoy that, too. he got a little cranky at the end of the day, but to be fair we had been in the park for nearly 8 hours! he had gotten up early and only had a brief nap in the park (he normally takes about 2-2.5 hours in the middle of the day), so he was really overtired. but overall he didn't show it - he behaved very well, and we were, of course, very proud of him. sophie had such a blast, i can't even wait to go back next year when ben will be more able to enjoy it! it's going to be so much fun for them both!
