6 month appointment

Ben had his 6 month doctor's appointment Wednesday. It was a little late, as he is almost 7 months old. We didn't have it with the usual doctor, but the woman who we met with did fine. He weighed in at 18 lbs 1 oz and was 27.5 in tall. This puts him in the 60% for weight and the 75% for height (for a 6 mo old).

I would like to say that our children were their usual patient and well behaved selves, but I don't want to lie to you. Not that they were bad, but they were high energy and uncooperative. At one point we had Ben squirming out of reach of the doctor while Aimee tried to restrain him and at the same time Sophie was standing on my lap and belting out tunes at the top of her lungs. We definitely felt like "those parents."

All in all, though, things went fine. The kids were happy enough, which is better then upset, and Ben is healthy and progressing off the chart with his motor skills as usual. As I watch him right now, he is walking around on his hands and toes - that's right, toes. He looks like spider man walking up a wall. He is just so strong and determined. Aimee is definitely going to have her hands full when my vacation is over.
