sweet potatoes i made a batch of sweet potatoes for ben today. i baked them, then pureed them - i saved enough out for his dinner, and then froze the rest into one-ounce cubes. its fun starting up our freezer stash again. one thing i always enjoyed about making sophie's food was that we always had a nice variety in the freezer - and since i make them in one-ounce servings, we're able to use smaller portions of more foods per meal. instead of opening up a jar of peas, we can use three or four cubes of different foods. obviously, ben isn't to that point yet - he's only eating small amounts of a single food at dinnertime - but eventually he will be. at dinner, adam fed him the sweet potatoes for the first time. he really enjoyed them... he ate every last bite. he's also having two "meals" a day now. he has cereal in the morning, and then his "real" food in the evening for dinner. i'm already looking forward to making his next new food. i haven't decided what it will be yet - i'm thinking either squash or bananas.
