first trip to the beach we had our first really hot day of the season (it was about 90 today - which is crazy because it was in the 50s last week!), so sophie, ben and i headed to my mom's to visit for awhile and take a quick trip down to the beach. i had toyed with the idea of letting ben dip his feet in, but the water was still so cold that i decided against it. instead, ben chilled out in his carseat in the shade and watched his sister wading. it was much cooler down by the water and really comfortable sitting under the trees. he loved watching what was going on and would laugh out loud at sophie and the other kids who were there. soon enough it will be warm enough for him to have his very first swim!
