so close...

ben is getting closer and closer to crawling. i can't believe its happening so soon! he's barely 5 months old! he scoots around quite a bit and can go backwards pretty well with a kind of army crawl. but in the last week he's actually started getting right up on his hands and knees in a crawling position. he will often get up like this and then sort of flop himself down in order to move forward... so he's starting to get the idea. he's certainly got the strength, he just needs to refine his coordination a bit more.

he also does this funny thing where he gets up on just his hands and toes, with the rest of his body lifted up - like he's doing pushups. he does this quite a bit - in fact, he started doing this before he figured out how to get up on his knees. he's such a determined little guy. i bet he'll be on the go pretty soon - certainly sooner than i'm ready for!
