first easter

yesterday was ben's first easter and he had a really nice day. we started the morning with sophie hunting for the easter bunny eggs. once that was done, we settled in the playroom and gave sophie and ben easter baskets from adam and me. ben got one little wrist rattle toy, but the rest of his basket was filled with socks! he already has so many toys, and he needed socks - so that's what he got. once he knows the difference, i swear i'll give more exciting gifts.

then we had breakfast and got ready to leave for the day. ben looked absolutely adorable in his little man clothes. we had plans with adam's family for lunch, so we stopped by my mom's house on the way for a late morning visit. sophie and ben each got an easter gift from grammy and we just visited and played for a bit.

then we headed to nana and grandpa's. ben did great visiting with everyone and was very patient at lunchtime. he sat at the table with everyone and was perfectly content as long as he had his plastic keys to play with and chew on.

we actually ended up stopping back by my mom's on the way home which was nice because my grandparents and aunt cathy were still there (they had all gone there for lunch). ben has a blast playing with my grandmother and a paper plate. no one was really sure what was so funny about it, but he laughed hysterically at that plate.

when we were getting ready to go, ben started crying when i got him into his car seat. not 30 seconds after i strapped him in, he was sound asleep. he was pooped from the busy day and slept all the way home and for probably another half hour once we got home. it was a really nice first easter for our little guy.
