2 month appointment

benjamin had his two month check-up this morning. he got weighed and measured and is now 14 pounds, 7 ounces and is 25 inches long. that puts him in the 95th percentile for weight and the 97th percentile for height. he certainly is a big boy! the doctor checked him all over and he is looking great. she asked us some questions about his development (is he following us with his eyes, does he have control over his head when he's upright, etc) and he is doing great. we told her how strong he is. when she held his hands and pulled him into a sitting position she was surprised by how well he did - she said he's behaving like a 4 month old, with such great strength and control. he did great the whole time. he smiled at the doctor and didn't mind any of the poking and prodding she had to do.

after the exam, the nurse gave ben his shots. he needed four this time - but as usual, it was harder for adam and me than for him. he cried after the first shot and until i picked him up, but after about a minute he settled down and was fine. he didn't love getting back in his car seat, but he fell asleep almost as soon as we got in the car and took a pretty good nap while we did some shopping. so far this afternoon he's acting fine - maybe a little clingier, but he isn't fussy or anything like that.

he goes back in two more months for another check-up.
