dear benjamin, after waiting for nine long months to meet you, your arrival is now merely hours away. i am so excited to welcome you into our family. we have loved every moment being a family of three, but have also known that our family wasn't yet complete. when we found out that you would be joining us, i knew that you would give us that feeling of completion. we look forward to being parents to both you and your sister, and we can't wait to see the two of you growing up together. we also look forward to the challenges of having two children with two distinctly different needs, desires and dreams, and we hope we will be able to give each of you the things that you will need to prosper as responsible citizens of this world. of course, in the more immediate future, i am simply looking forward to meeting you. i want to hold you in my arms and look into your eyes; i want to take care of you; i want to show you just how much i love you. love, mama
