successful trip

we're all back from connecticut with baby ben still in utero as he should be. the travelling wasn't too bad - it was about 4 and a half hours with all of the little stops that we made. getting up and walking around every hour or so really did help, but i was still really sore on friday evening. luckily, i felt a lot better saturday and felt fine through the wedding and reception. by the time we left the reception a little after 10:00, i was definitely pooped... but i'm so glad we were able to make it. i would have been really bummed to have missed katy's wedding at all, obviously, but it would have been especially tough to miss actually being involved in the wedding. everything was beautiful and i'm grateful i was asked to be a part of it.

our trip back on sunday took a bit longer - we took a few longer stops to walk around - but we were back at my mom's to drop off brianna by the early afternoon. we stayed there for a little bit to visit, and then headed home finally. i was physically exhausted from the weekend, but adam was very helpful in playing with sophie and letting me rest for the evening.

i feel great now knowing that i've met my last major obligation before ben's due date. now i feel more relaxed knowing that whatever happens will happen and it will be fine. if he decides to come a little early, it isn't going to cause any problems for us. now it's just a waiting game...

oh - and here's a picture of adam and me at the wedding... that's one very pregnant matron-of-honor!
