mellow baby

i've mentioned to several people, but don't think i've ever posted about how much different ben has been in utero compared to sophie. he is just so much more calm than she was. he doesn't move nearly as much as she used to. well, he does move quite a bit - i can feel him wiggling and adjusting in there - but he doesn't put on the crazy kicking shows and such that sophie used to. he has his moments, for sure - and he's a strong little guy when he gets going - but for the most part he's pretty mellow.

one fun thing, though, lately, is that he's been getting hiccups a lot. for a long time, if he had hiccups, only i could feel them. i don't know if it was because of his position or what, but one day the hiccups were very obvious from the outside. adam could feel them with no problem and you could watch my belly jump a little each time. i love to just lay with adam and feel ben moving around or hiccuping or whatever. we don't get much time to do that, granted, but we're trying to take advantage of the opportunities while we still can.
