30 week appointment i had an appointment this morning with dr. van gundy, who is one of the two doctors i had yet to meet. i really liked him - very easy going, good sense of humor. there's still one more doctor that i'll meet at my next appointment, but so far i haven't met anyone that i would be uncomfortable with if they were on duty when we have the baby, so that's good. the appointment itself was quick, as usual. quick weight and blood pressure check with the nurse, then the doctor came in to measure my uterus and give a listen to ben's heartbeat. i did ask about the back and hip pain i've been having, and he confirmed that it was as i thought - just a loosening of the pelvic joint that allows things to go a bit out of alignment. he said if its really bothering me, i can take some tylenol or try adding some heat to the area; otherwise it's just aggrivated by activity and i should try to rest as much as i can and stay off my feet when possible. nothing i didn't already know. i go back in two weeks for another checkup. it's getting closer!
