sweet this afternoon, sophie was just aching for a nap, running around the house like a cranky tornado, so i decided to take her for a quick drive and see if she'd fall asleep in the car. when i brought her inside, she stayed sound asleep and i was able to hold her for over an hour while she snoozed. it was great to sit and cuddle my sleeping baby like that. i even dozed off for a few minutes. when i woke up, baby ben was moving all over the place. he's getting stronger, and i can actually watch my belly move as he kicks and rolls around in there. while i was sitting there, watching my belly and my sleeping girl, i think i really understood for the first time that i'm about to be a mama of two soon. seeing sophie cradled in my elbow, legs streched on my lap, her body curled around my tummy, while ben was wiggling and playing, as if trying to share in the moment with us... was just amazing. i loved the little bit of quite time the three of us shared today, and i can't wait to see these two grow as brother and sister.
