nursery additions in sophie's nursery, there was big framed print on the wall over her bureau. it was a girly print, so we moved it into her big girl room with the rest of her stuff. the spot looked empty and really needed something there... so i've been thinking of what i wanted to do. i thought about getting another framed print or something like that, but i also wanted to make something for ben, too. for sophie i did a watercolor copy of an illustration from one of my favorite childrens books, and i wanted to do something for ben's nursery. so i thought about painting something for that spot in the wall. after looking around at ideas for awhile, i decided to do a few canvases with jungle animals on them. at first i wasn't sure how they would look in a baby's room, but i finally decided that they are ok and they will grow with him better than the other ideas i had. anyhow, i started them yesterday and finished them up this morning... here's how they turned out...
