i passed!

i called the doctor's office again late this morning to inquire about my results to the glucose test. the secretary was very appologetic about the fact that my call from tuesday hadn't been returned and said she'd make sure someone got back to me this time. i got a call from a nurse just about a half hour later. to my amazement, she told me that my results were perfect! anything over 140 qualifies you to take the 3-hour diagnositc test, and i had 120. she said that was an awesome number and that i had no need to worry. i still can't believe it. i thought for sure i'd be diagnosed again - just because of the statistics.

i'm so glad i won't have to go to any of the extra appointments, and i'm also excited that this will likely mean i won't need to worry about being induced again. with sophie, i was induced on my due date because they don't like gd patients to go past-due... i would sure like to avoid that this time. the induction wasn't terrible (and there certainly were benefits to knowing when you were going in, etc), but it made the contractions a lot more intense and the pain was harder to deal with on the pitocin. hopefully this time i'll go into labor on my own and can avoid any pain meds.

what good news!
