i think i jinxed myself...

just the other day, my dad asked me how i'd been sleeping lately. so far, the heat has been the biggest problem for me, but so long as we're using the air conditioner in the bedroom at night, i'd actually been sleeping pretty well. i was getting uncomfortable from time to time, especially when sophie is with me before adam gets home and i don't want to turn away from her (which means i stay in the same position for longer than i'd like) but usually i'll just move to the other side of the bed so i can sleep on my other side, and that fixes the problem.

but i think i spoke too soon.

the past few nights have been just terrible. my back and hips are aching after just a little while in bed. the sciatic nerve pain i had during my pregnancy with sophie is back now, too (just in my left side - like i had before) and i'm sure that's a big contributing factor to the night issues. i've started sleeping with a pillow between my knees to keep my hips in alignment and take the pressure off my lower back a bit, and that has helped some - but i'm still waking up pretty frequently and feeling so uncomfortable. i'm hoping i figure out some tricks to help sleeping more comfy, or i'm in for long three months until this baby gets here!
