Baby's first ultrasound! Today we got to see the new baby for the first time! After Aimee's doctor appointment on Monday we found out that we would have an ultrasound today. We both got really excited. Aimee got to hear the heart beat on Monday, but I didn't mind so much since I would be able to see it on the screen. I was a little worried going in that we might not get a clear image, but everything came out great and we got to see our little baby squiggling around quite nicely. The heart beat was incredible to see - I just wish that they had turned on the audio so we could hear. We were reassured that our baby is healthy and looks to have all the correct parts. Here is a picture . . . The measurements for the baby show that we are 12 weeks and 2 days along (about 5.5 cm from head to rump), which is exactly what Aimee had predicted with her charting. The doctor originally had us at 13 weeks, and the tech wasn't sure if they would change the date or not. The dates are pretty close, so they might not, but at least we will know if the baby measures a little small why that could be.
