Excited and hopeful As Aimee mentioned in her post, we found out almost a week ago that we are pregnant again! I can't find the words to express all the jumbled emotions and thoughts that have been my constant companions since that time. When Aimee emailed me the picture of the digital pregnancy test at work last Wednesday, all I wanted to do was dance around and show everyone. Since that time I have bounced back and forth from joyful and giddy to worried and disbelieving. It is amazing that we managed this on our first attempt. I can't really imagine what life will be like with another member added to our family. Aimee and I have spoken of this often, and we realize that we just can't know how things will be until the baby is here. I truly hope that Sophie and the baby develop the friendship and love that is possible between siblings so close in age. Even though I didn't always get along with my brother, I did always look up to him and finally now that we are adults we have the kind of relationship that I always wanted. I only wish he lived closer so we could take more advantage of this friendship. I want my children to have that growing up. There was never really any doubt if Aimee and I would have another child if we were able. We both feel that growing up with a sibling is extremely important, as is having a brother or sister to rely on throughout adulthood. This is such a scary time for us, but also a wonderfully exciting time as well.
